Herb initiated in 1952 the development of the Colony, the site of which has been taken over by the new St. Regis Hotel and Residences.

It was only till 1980 that the first property was sold in this community. 

The long wait and efforts spent, however, were all worth it. Much of the natural environment in Hideaway Bay has been meticulously preserved. As a result, the community provides spectacular views not only of the bay waters but also precious sights of shorebirds and marine life that thrive in the locality’s pristine natural setting.
